I am Sarah (she/her) and I am a qualified & registered counsellor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I work using a Trauma-informed, Person-Centred counselling Approach which means I believe that each and every person is innately deserving of respect and are the experts in themselves. Through facilitating a safe, non-judgemental and understanding relationship, I work alongside you to explore your difficulties and empower you to discover your own solutions - at your own pace. I am currently offering face-to-face counselling sessions, as well as video and phone sessions.
I have a wide range of experience prior to qualifying as a counsellor having previously worked in social care supporting adults with learning disabilities & complex needs in the community; supporting older people to remain in the own homes & supporting those in residential settings to retain independence. I have worked in mental health exclusively since 2018 in both a private trauma clinic, and within the NHS since 2019. I have worked in Talking Therapies (previously IAPT) and am also a registered graduate member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
