I am Sarah (she/her) and I am a qualified, registered counsellor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I also hold graduate membership with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
I understand just how hard it can be to reach out for support when life is 'life-ing'. Often we focus so much on everything else, we don't give ourselves the opportunity or resources to slow down and really get in contact with how we are really doing.
I offer counselling through a trauma-informed, person-centred approach, working with you at your own pace to create a safe and supportive space.
My focus is on building a genuine connection, so we can explore whatever comes up in a way that feels right for you. Therapy is about understanding your unique experience, not fitting it into predefined ideas of how it "should" be. I am here to listen, understand, and work alongside you as we navigate your journey together.
Before becoming a counsellor, I gained a wide range of experience working in social care settings, including learning disabilities, community care, and supporting older adults, always with a focus on empowerment and independent choice. Since 2018, I have worked exclusively in mental health, first in a private trauma clinic and then within the NHS since 2019.
